Marc Berliner is a strategic communications strategist and counselor with decades of experience helping organizations drive awareness, build trust, and enhance reputation. He partners with leaders to craft compelling stories, create breakthrough thought leadership campaigns, and proactively manage issues and crises. 


Career Highlights: 

  • Former Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Porter Novelli, leading engagements for Keurig Dr Pepper, Timberland, L.L.Bean, Purina, FICO, Jiffy Lube, SimpliSafe, Ben & Jerry’s, and several General Mills brands. 
  • Timberland – Led an executive visibility and thought leadership initiative showcasing environmental and social impact work, driving significant revenue growth for the Earthkeepers product line. 
  • L.L.Bean – Designed the communications strategy for a major change to the company’s legendary lifetime guarantee, earning overwhelmingly positive media coverage and stakeholder buy-in. 
  • Purina – Reengineered and expanded the company's crisis readiness infrastructure, including the crisis playbook, crisis modules, desktop exercises and spokesperson training.
  • Built the communications function for Workbrain, taking the company public on the Toronto Stock Exchange. 


Education: Graduate of Brandeis University with a major in American Studies, a minor in Business & Managerial Economics, and a certificate in Journalism. 


Outside of Work: Enjoy cooking, playing soccer, skiing, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants and bourbons.
